What automations do

An automation schedules a WhatsApp or SMS message to send once or on a repeating cadence, to a targeted list of contacts — with no manual sending required.

Build an automation in three steps

1
StructureName it, pick WhatsApp or SMS, and choose the sender number.
2
ScheduleSet a one-time date and time, or turn on recurring and pick the cadence and time of day.
3
DataChoose a template and target contacts by list, label, filters or uploaded data.

One-time vs. recurring

Use one-time for a launch or a single announcement. Use recurring for renewals, reminders and regular updates — monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, yearly or a custom cadence.

Targeting the right contacts

Send to an uploaded list, or filter your existing contacts by label and saved segments so each automation reaches exactly the right people.

Recurring automations re-evaluate your filters on each run, so new matching contacts are included automatically.

Key takeaways
