Meta Business Verification with Mersal

Meta may ask your business to verify its legal identity before granting full access to WhatsApp Business Platform features. Mersal guides you through the process and helps you prepare — but Meta controls the review and the final decision.

What is Meta Business Verification?

Business Verification is Meta’s check that your business is a real, legally registered organisation. It links your Meta Business Portfolio to official records so Meta can trust who is sending messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform.

It is a Meta process, not a Mersal one. Mersal prepares your account and tells you what Meta typically looks for, but the approval happens inside Meta.

When is verification required?

Not every account is asked to verify immediately, but you will usually need it to unlock higher messaging limits and full platform features.

Documents you may need

Have clear, current, legible copies ready before you start. Requirements vary by country and business type.

Commercial registration or business licenseTax document, if availableProof of business address, if requestedA business phone numberYour website domainLegal company nameBrand / common nameAdmin access to the Meta Business Portfolio

Matching legal name, website and documents

The legal company name on your documents should match the business information in Meta. Mismatches are one of the most common reasons a review fails.

If your common brand name differs from your legal company name, your website should clearly connect the two — for example in the footer.

Website footer example (EN): “[Brand Name] is operated by [Legal Company Name].” • Replace the placeholders with your real brand and registered entity.

Why verification gets rejected

Most rejections come down to inconsistent or unclear information. Review this list before you submit.

How Mersal can help

Mersal walks you through what Meta expects, helps you spot obvious gaps before you submit, and reviews your account status with you if a review keeps failing. What Mersal cannot do is approve verification on Meta’s behalf or guarantee a result.

Mersal does not control Meta approvals. Meta controls business verification, and we cannot guarantee that all documents will be accepted.
